We are Norfolk born and bred and we're proud of it. When we first started, all of our customers were based in Norfolk too, but now we have customers from all over the UK, Europe and beyond.

Also, we have competition from all over the world.

Retailers are the same. Just a couple of years ago, your nearest competitor may have been a store a few streets away, or (in the case of Norfolk) in another town a few miles away.

Now, your competitors are in London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Bombay. For many people, sitting at a PC with an ice-cool beer, plastic at the ready, is more attractive than spending an hour looking for somewhere to park. Others just don't get around to local shopping anymore simply because they're at work while your high street shop is open.

You may not want to ship your products abroad, and you don't have to, but somewhere out there is a web store selling to your customers.

Why use our system

We are a bunch of irritating perfectionists who worry too much about pleasing our customers. When clients asked us to recommend an E-commerce solution we always fudged around and made excuses. We have tried out so many that we could write a book on them, we never found one that we would recommend.

Some were laughably inept, others were simply too complicated for us as IT people, let alone for those who just want to get on with running a business, lead a normal life and spend the nights sleeping.

Worringly, none of these so-called solutions were able to produce a web page that even came close to valid html - never mind meeting EU guidelines for web sites, these on-line shops all fell at the first hurdle.

An online shopping system for UK business

We took a year out and wrote our own software.

Called VStream Shop, our shopping cart is designed especially for businesses operating in the UK. We are not pretending that our cart has every feature that you'll find in a thousand pound package but we do know that it is more usable, more customer-friendly and very cost-effective. It is extremely simple to use and can integrate with an existing site, whether designed by us or otherwise.
